The go was established in detroit in 1996 by bobby harlow john krautner and marc fellis. Mentored by los angeles producer kim fowley the band signed a record deal with sub pop in 1998. The package is centred on a summer sun coloured pressing of whatcha doin while vinyl pressings of the previously unreleased ferdinand attic demos lp and the alternate studio takes 7 inch are. Their first album whatcha doin featured dave buick on bass and jack white on guitar.

The production courtesy of outrageous cherry s matthew smith is as raunchy and retro as the band s old school rave ups and definitely highlights the vocals and buzzing guitars over the simple sloppy rhythm section.
